Varel Marks Seven Years Without Lost-Time Injuries During 2026 Health Week

Varel marked seven years without a lost-time injury through its Safety, Health, and Environment Week, held from July 8 to 10.

IMSS Family Medicine Unit 79 participated by administering hepatitis B and tetanus vaccines. Health personnel checked participants’ blood pressure and glucose levels.

Varel and SJOIIM Representatives

The opening event brought together Human Resources Manager Homero Valdez Sánchez; SJOIIM Secretary General Juan Villafuerte Morales; and Varel union delegates Rodolfo Serrata and Reynaldo Villasais.

Georgina Reyes and Adriana López, delegates from the union’s Health Commission, attended with plant physician Jacobo Issac Terán, administrative staff, and unionized workers.

Participating Organizations and Businesses

Participants included Frutería Vive, Palomitas, Botanas Leo, Bimbo, Centro Médico Vital, Óptica Dayan, Grupo Crece, Accesorios Quintero, Llantera El Rayo, Universidad Tamaulipeca, Profuturo, Cinépolis, and Sam’s.
