Union Leaders and Business Chambers Present the National Business and Labor Leadership Forum “México en Decisión”

With the goal of strengthening the connection between the productive and labor sectors, union leaders and representatives from Matamoros’ leading business chambers held a working meeting to present the details of the National Business and Labor Leadership Forum “México en Decisión.”

This forum aims to become a strategic space for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of proposals that promote Mexico’s economic and social development.

A forum to strengthen leadership and competitiveness

As part of the scheduled activities, the forum will begin on July 2 with the USMCA/T-MEC Dialogue in Brownsville, Texas, followed by the National Forum on July 3, featuring business leaders, union representatives, academics, and specialists from various sectors.

Participating organizations include COPARMEX, CANACAR, INDEX, CANIRAC, CANACINTRA, AMPI, CMIC, and CTM, whose representatives will share experiences, knowledge, and proposals focused on strengthening leadership, innovation, competitiveness, and decision-making in Mexico.

Strategic alliances between workers and businesses

During the meeting, attendees agreed on the importance of consolidating alliances among workers, business leaders, and representative organizations to address the challenges of today’s economic environment.

These efforts seek to promote sustainable growth, job creation, and the well-being of Mexican families.

SJOIIM and FRTM participation

In his remarks, Juan Villafuerte Morales, General Secretary of the Regional Federation of Workers of Matamoros (FRTM) and the Union of Industrial and Maquiladora Workers (SJOIIM), emphasized the importance of working in coordination with business chambers to attract national and foreign investment, strengthen regional economic activity, and create greater employment opportunities for workers in Matamoros.
