With the goal of supporting working families and helping improve their homes, the Union of Industrial and Maquiladora Workers (SJOIIM), in collaboration with Ferretería Universal, delivered 141 cans of paint, waterproofing material, and sealant at low cost to union members.
Support for home improvement during the rainy season
This initiative aims to provide unionized workers with access to quality materials to improve and protect their homes, especially during the rainy season.
Through programs like this, SJOIIM continues to generate direct benefits for its members, strengthening family well-being and promoting actions that positively impact their quality of life.
Delivery at the union headquarters
The delivery took place at the union headquarters with the presence of SJOIIM General Secretary Juan Villafuerte Morales; Sports Commission President Agustín Martínez; Education Secretary Tirso Cortes; Francisco Martínez from the Land Department; members of the union promotion group; and Aroldo Peña, who oversees the program.
Representing Ferretería Universal were Accountant Gabriela Hernández, Accountant Daniel Cervantes, and Lic. Abigail Olivares.
Commitment to working families
During his remarks, SJOIIM General Secretary Juan Villafuerte Morales reaffirmed the union’s commitment to continuing programs that benefit workers and their families:
“We know the current situation is very difficult; that is why the union, through its commissions, is always looking for ways to support working families and the general public, as we are doing today.”
Accountant Gabriela Hernández, representing Ferretería Universal, also highlighted the benefits available to SJOIIM members throughout the store thanks to the agreement signed between both parties.
