SJOIIM Attends the Opening of the Federal Labor Conciliation and Registration Center in Reynosa

The city of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, hosted the opening of the offices of the Federal Labor Conciliation and Registration Center, marking an important step toward strengthening labor justice, conciliation processes, and the protection of workers’ rights in the region.

SJOIIM’s participation

Given the importance of this event, SJOIIM General Secretary Juan Villafuerte Morales attended alongside Jesús Sánchez Alvarado, Secretary of Exterior Affairs, and Lic. Ernesto Ramírez Pérez, legal representative of the union.

Their presence reaffirms SJOIIM’s commitment to participating in institutional spaces that promote fairer, more equitable labor relations based on dialogue.

A space for conciliation and labor justice

The inaugural ribbon-cutting was led by Lic. Alfredo Domínguez Marrufo, Director of the Federal Labor Center, who officially opened these offices designed to strengthen conciliation mechanisms between workers and companies.

This center will contribute to promoting dialogue, preventing labor conflicts, and ensuring respect for workers’ rights under a more humane and just approach among the factors of production.

The event was also attended by labor authorities and representatives from various sectors, including:

  • Lic. Carlos Peña Ortiz, Mayor of Reynosa
  • Edmundo García Román, General Secretary of the Federation of Tamaulipas
  • Reynaldo Garza, representative of the Regional Federation of Workers of Reynosa

Attendees agreed on the importance of strengthening conciliation processes as a fundamental tool to maintain labor stability, improve communication between companies and workers, and consolidate an environment of respect and legality.
