Cedro de México Launches ‘Steel Sport’ Soccer Camp to Foster Values in Youth

This Monday, Cedro de México kicked off its “Steel Sport” soccer camp, an innovative initiative designed to instill essential values in the children of its employees through sports.

Camp Description

For one week, youths aged 6 to 12 will engage in a series of sports activities aimed at promoting innovation, commitment, integrity, respect, and teamwork. These activities are planned to be both fun and educational, providing the kids with valuable tools for their personal and academic development.

Participation

Lic. Victoria Figueroa, Human Resources Manager at Cedro de México, highlighted the enthusiastic participation of employees’ children, divided into age categories to ensure an appropriate and enriching experience for all.

Objectives and Benefits

“We aim to reinforce fundamental values that will be very useful in their daily lives and in the school environment,” added Figueroa. This camp represents a unique opportunity for young people to learn and grow in a structured and supportive setting.

Presence of Dignitaries

The event was attended by notable figures such as Roberto Mattus, Director of INDEX Matamoros; Juan Villafuerte Morales, SJOIIM General Secretary; and Jesús Sánchez, Interior Secretary, demonstrating broad support for the camp and its mission.

We invite the Matamoros community to come together and support this and future initiatives by Cedro de México, which significantly contribute to the welfare and development of our youth.
