SJOIIM Promotes the “Everyone Reads” Program at Roberto F. García Elementary School

With the goal of promoting reading among young people, the Union of Industrial Workers and Laborers of the Maquiladora Industry (SJOIIM), in collaboration with the Fondo Unido Chihuahua Foundation and Aptiv Matamoros, officially launched the “Everyone Reads” program. During the event, books were donated to the students of Roberto F. García Elementary School, in an effort to encourage the habit of reading and contribute to the educational development of the students.

In his message, SJOIIM General Secretary, Juan Villafuerte Morales, emphasized the importance of education as a fundamental tool to improve life opportunities, not only for union workers but also for their children.

Víctor Talamantes, representative of the Fondo Unido Chihuahua Foundation, highlighted that the “Everyone Reads” program is part of a joint effort between companies, unions, and organizations to support the community through education. Fidel Limas, principal of Roberto F. García Elementary School, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for the donation of books. Jorge Braña, manager of Aptiv Matamoros, emphasized the honor it is for the company to participate in this initiative.
