The Union of Industrial Workers and Maquiladora Industry (SJOIIM) celebrated its 92nd anniversary with a spectacular party at Rancho Campestre, filled with prizes, music, and joy for all its members.

Event Description

From early hours, entire families, groups of friends, and coworkers began arriving at SJOIIM’s Rancho Campestre, ready to enjoy a day of recreation and celebration. Over 20,000 people attended the event on Saturday, July 13th, where the festive atmosphere was unmatched.

Secretary General’s Message

SJOIIM’s General Secretary, Juan Villafuerte Morales, delivered an emotional message to the attendees: “The union has transcended in these 92 years of existence. It is one of the few unions that has remained nationally. SJOIIM continues to seek more collective agreements and to open doors for workers coming to Matamoros looking for job opportunities. May SJOIIM continue celebrating more years in support of the entire working class,” he concluded.

Among the special guests were Lic. Verónica Gómez, Human Resources Manager at Aptiv; Lic. Alonso Ornelas, Human Resources Manager at Easy Way; Accountant Luis Aguilar, Human Resources Coordinator at Polytech; representing Dr. María Ramírez Andrade, President of Coparmex, was Lic. José Antonio Rosas, Secretary of the organization; and representing ITACE Matamoros Director Lic. Ricardo Ramírez González was Lic. Martín Isaías Lara, Deputy Director of the campus.

The evening was enlivened by musical groups such as Estampida, Rumores, Sonora KNDT, Selva Negra, and Flash, who kept the attendees dancing and enjoying the night.
